The Cahuita National Park and Chocolate Tour

The Cahuita National Park is a gem in this region and home to a breathtaking array of flora and fauna.   Walk part of this 4 km trail with your guide and discover the natural habitat of White Face and Howler monkeys, two toed and three toed sloths, raccoons, blue morphos butterflies, various species of snakes, insects, lizards and caimans.

Refresh yourself in the Caribbean sea just steps away from the trail or sit in the shade of an almond tree or coconut tree and listen to the waves.

For your next experience you will visit with an Indigenous Bri Bri village to learn about the historical cultural significance of chocolate in their culture.   Participate in a demonstration of the chocolate making process and the best part sampling various natural flavors of chocolate with the option to buy some chocolates to enjoy back on board!

Itinerary

8:00 AM                    Pick up in Puerto Limón

9:00 AM                   Entrance to Cahuita National Park, hike and observe wildlife

12:30 PM                Lunch (typical Caribbean dish in Cahuita beach village)

1:30 PM                   Visit to the cacao/chocolate plantation with a Bribri Indigenous family

4:00 PM                   Drop off Puerto Limón
