Looking to get off the beaten track? At the base of the Kekoldi Reserve you will meet your guide for the 2 ½ hour hike on what used to be the main “ highway” which was used as trade road by the Indigenous tribes in the region. The trail offers beautiful views, an abundance of wildlife including migrating birds flying from North to South America (September- November and February-March).
At the end of the hike is a waterfall with much-deserved cool refreshing waters to welcome you. This waterfall was a ceremonial ground for healing rituals in the community.
After your swim, you will be invited for traditional log cooked lunch by the President of the Kekoldi Committee, Doña Maura. Learn the history of the Kekoldi Territory, politics and economic and social issues from the lips of this tribe elder.
